Table & Seat Reservations

Let guests book a table, room, seat or appointment slot online — and run every booking from the same app you bill from. Here's how to switch it on and how to use it day to day.

What you get

Everything a restaurant, salon, clinic or lounge needs to take bookings without a phone diary.

🌐 Public booking page

A link and a printable QR code. Guests pick a time and party size and book without creating an account.

🪑 Tables, rooms & slots

Add whatever you book — Table 5, the private room, Chair 2, a staff slot — with its capacity and zone.

💳 Deposits

Ask for a deposit when booking. It is paid online straight into your own payment gateway account.

📲 Confirmations & reminders

Automatic SMS, WhatsApp and email when a booking is confirmed, before it starts, and if it is cancelled.

⏳ Waitlist

Walk-ins join a waitlist; notify them the moment a table frees up.

📊 Insights

No-show and cancellation rates, peak hours, where bookings come from, and how busy each table is.

How to get it

Reservations is a paid add-on, so it is switched on for your shop rather than included by default.

1

Open Reservations in InventiPro

Sign in and open Reservations in the left menu. Until the add-on is on, the page shows a banner with a Request access button.
2

Send a request

Press Request access and, if you like, add a note — how many tables you have, or the best time to call. Our team is notified straight away.
3

Try it, then activate it

We usually start you on a free trial so you can set it up and take real bookings. Once you decide to keep it and payment is done, we activate it — open-ended, or for the period you paid for. You get an in-app notification at every step.
4

Nothing is lost if it lapses

If a trial or paid period ends, Reservations becomes read-only: every booking you already have stays visible so you can still honour tonight's tables, but new bookings pause until it is active again.

Prefer to talk first? Contact us and we'll switch it on for you.

Set it up (about 10 minutes)

1

Add what guests can book

Reservations › Resources › Add resource. Give each table, room, seat or staff slot a name, a capacity and an optional zone (Patio, First floor).
2

Set your booking policy

Reservations › Settings: opening and closing time, slot length, how many days ahead guests may book, the smallest and largest party, and how late a guest may cancel.
3

Choose how bookings are approved

Auto-confirm fills tables instantly; Staff must confirm lets you check each booking first. Switch on the waitlist, and overbooking only if you plan for it.
4

Deposits (optional)

Turn on Require a deposit and set the amount. Guests pay online when they book, into your own payment gateway — set one up first under Settings › Payment gateways.
5

Messages to guests

Under Settings › Notifications pick, per event (confirmed, reminder, cancelled), whether guests get SMS and/or WhatsApp; email confirmations have their own switch. SMS and WhatsApp use your message credits.
6

Share your booking page

Turn on Online booking, then copy your link from the Bookings tab or print the QR code for the counter, menu or window. Add the link to your Google profile, Instagram and website.

Walk-ins and the waitlist

Full tonight? Add the guest to the Waitlist with their party size and phone. When a table frees up, press Notified once you've told them, then seat them.

The Insights tab shows bookings fulfilled, no-show and cancellation rates, revenue from bookings that became bills, your peak hours, where bookings come from and how well each table is used.

Questions

Do guests need an account to book?

No. They open your booking page, pick a time and party size, and leave a name and phone number.

Where does a deposit go?

Straight into your own payment gateway account (Razorpay or Stripe), the same one your online bills use. InventiPro never holds it.

What do the SMS and WhatsApp messages cost?

They draw on your shop's message credits, like every other message you send to customers. Email confirmations are free.

What happens when my trial or paid period ends?

Reservations turns read-only: existing bookings stay visible and serviceable, but new bookings pause until it is active again.

Can I book things that aren't tables?

Yes — rooms, seats, chairs or staff appointment slots. Anything with a name and a capacity.

Ready to take bookings?
