Data Usage Policy

This Data Usage Policy explains how InventiPro Pvt. Ltd. ("InventiPro", "we", "us", or "our") handles the business data you enter into the InventiPro desktop application, web application, or related services (collectively, the "Service") — things like your customers, invoices, products, and employee records. This is distinct from our Privacy Policy, which covers your personal account information rather than the business data you manage inside the Service.

1. Tenant Data Isolation

InventiPro is a multi-tenant product: every business ("tenant") that uses the Service has its business data logically and, where applicable, physically separated at the database level from every other tenant. Your business data is never mixed with, and is not accessible from, another tenant's account.

2. Where Your Data Lives

• Desktop Application: your business data is stored in a local database on your own device. It stays on that device unless you explicitly enable the Cloud Sync add-on described below.
• Web Application: your business data is stored in a cloud-hosted database managed by us on infrastructure provided by [hosting provider name].

3. Cloud Sync Add-on

Cloud Sync is an optional, separately priced add-on that bridges the Desktop Application to the cloud. It is important to understand exactly how it behaves:

• Sync is opt-in — nothing is synced to the cloud unless you turn Cloud Sync on for your account;
• Sync is selective by table — you choose which categories of data (for example, customers or products) are synced, rather than syncing your entire database as a single unit;
• Sync is not automatic or total — data you do not select to sync remains local-only and is never transmitted to our servers.

4. Data Export and Portability

Your business data belongs to you. The Service includes a built-in Data Migration feature that lets you import your existing customer, product, and invoice data from other systems via a guided wizard; the same underlying data model is designed so your data can be exported for your own use. If you need an export in a specific format not currently supported in-app, contact support@inventipro.com.

5. Data Deletion on Account Closure

When you close your account, cloud-stored business data (Web Application data and any tables synced via Cloud Sync) is deleted or anonymized from our systems within [DELETION PERIOD — e.g. 30 days]of closure, except where we are required to retain it for a longer period by law. Data stored locally by the Desktop Application is under your control at all times and is unaffected by the closure of any cloud account.

6. Sub-Processors and Hosting Infrastructure

Cloud-hosted business data (Web Application data and synced Desktop Application data) is hosted with [hosting provider name]. We may engage additional sub-processors to support specific functionality (for example, email delivery or payment processing); see our Privacy Policy for how those are described.

7. Security Measures

We apply the following security measures to protect your business data:

• Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed before being persisted;
• Access to the Web Application's API is authenticated using signed, expiring tokens (JWT-based authentication) rather than long-lived shared secrets;
• Data in transit between the Web Application and our servers is encrypted;
• Business data for each tenant is isolated at the database level, as described in Section 1.

No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, and we continue to invest in improving these safeguards over time.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Data Usage Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Service or by email to your registered address. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
